On November 9, ICE agents arrested 12 persons in Arizona after a nine-month undercover investigation targeting members of the motel industry who were supporting violent human smuggling organizations. Federal authorities will also seek forfeiture of five motels.
WASHINGTON, D.C.-ICE officers have deported Mohammed Abouhalima, a 41-year-old Egyptian national who was convicted as an accessory after the fact for helping a 1993 World Trade Center bomber escape the United States following the attack.
President Bush signed the Fiscal Year (FY) 2006 Homeland Security Appropriations Act on October 19. The legislation adopts many of the changes called for in the Secretary's Second Stage Review and provides a total of $3.9 billion in direct appropriations and fees for ICE.
Luis MONTIEL-Cercas is wanted for questioning by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in connection with the May 2001 smuggling attempt that resulted in the death of 14 illegal aliens south of Welton, Arizona.

President Bush is at it again.
FAIR has learned that President Bush is working behind the scenes with sympathetic members of the House leadership to fool you into believing they are getting serious about immigration enforcement and border security. They are devising a weak bill they hope to introduce to take the limelight away from the TRUE Enforcement and Border Security Act, H.R. 4313, introduced by Reps. Duncan Hunter (R-CA) and Virgil Goode (R-VA). Following this slight of hand, the White House will demand that this limp-wristed “enforcement” bill be coupled in January or February with a Senate bill containing a massive amnesty/guestworker program. Unfortunately some well-known members of the House are aiding the President. Unless stopped now, this plan will sell out the American worker, homeland security, and the hope of finally bringing illegal immigration under control.
Don’t Be Fooled by a Fake Enforcement Bill
Don’t let them get away with this ruse. Please contact your House member immediately! Tell him/her you are not fooled. Tell them the only way to prove they are serious about enforcing immigration laws and controlling the borders is to sponsor and support the TRUE Enforcement Act. Unless the TRUE Enforcement bill is passed, the Bush-backed bill will win out and they will have pulled the wool over the eyes of the American people—all for special interest business groups and cheap foreign labor.

As you have seen time and time again, when the general public demands meaningful action, congressional leaders opt reflexively to give you the old Potomac two-step. They give you a pacifier then give away the ranch to the cheap labor business community. Never before has the general public been as clearly focused on the vast loopholes in our homeland security resulting from inaction to enforce immigration laws and control our borders. Never before have rank and file members of congress heard so much angst, so often from their constituents on this issue. In order to prevent the White House from enacting its ruinous immigration proposals, you must make your voice heard now and you must make clear the urgency of resolving this issue favorably.
Don’t let anyone sell out homeland security, the American worker, and the American middle class—make TRUE Enforcement the litmus test for Congress.

1) Call your House representative's DC and DISTRICT offices in support of the bill. Tell him/her you are not fooled. Tell them the only way to prove they are serious about enforcing immigration laws and controlling the borders is to sponsor and support the TRUE Enforcement Act.
